Lucia C. did it again!  For this year's XenaFest, she designed candy bar wrappers to fit Hershey's Bars (plain and with almonds) and brought a box of each to our 2006 gathering.  She wrapped the candy bars in purple (Xena -- plain Hershey's) and green (Gabrielle -- With Almonds) foil.

She even designed the back of the bars with "Nutrition Facts" -- the small print which you might not be able to see says *Percent Daily Value (DV) are based on 6 memorable seasons of Xena: Warrior Princess".  Check out the UPC code:  19962006 -- covering the 10 years this group of fans have been gathering.

Combined Chakram designs on a denim jacket, which I made for myself (I admit it).  The Yin-Yang symbol was cut from hand-dyed fabric by Aspidistra Fabrics.  The outer chakram fabrics were commercially available batiks.  I made this jacket over a weekend, mostly as a concept project to see what was possible with some of the newer fusible adhesives that are available for art quilters.  This was made using piecing techniques for quilting, but the jacket is not quilted.  I just can't go there.

The only thing I could think to do with those plastic costume chakrams was play "Chakram Toss" over a Saddlehorn.... but my friend Lucia C. found some fabulous concrete "X"'s over at Ikea to go with her episode montages -- these were the centerpieces at the 2001 Xena Convention Sword & Staff dinner at the Hilton Pasadena.  We were going to give them away to the fan sitting in a secretly marked chair at each table, but as the night wore on, most of them were taken.  I think we "rescued" two of them.  Bummer.
